often hard. Not any more, not since Vicki Harrison opened The Tall Dog in Midhurst, West Sussex in 2013, now home to The Midhurst Community Hub (C.H.A.N.G.E. Community Interest Company) started and supported by The Tall Dog
Offering a full range of affordable services to both small businesses and self-employed people helps them to develop a successful business. Services offered by The Tall Dog include everything from local promotions, marketing, web design, book-keeping, self-assessment and social media – bringing everything you might need under one roof.
Starting up and running any business
This can be risky and daunting, and can cause pressures and worries, especially when you are trying to find the funds to cover all your costs.
Vicki understands: ‘I was in the same position myself when I was starting up, so I know how difficult it is, and I decided I wanted to offer small businesses and self-employed people access to what’s needed to start and grow a successful business, without all the capital being absorbed at the start. I want to share the knowledge and skills I have developed over the past 25 years in sales, promotions, production, accounts and management; I want to provide a one-to-one service to help you and your business.’
The Tall Dog is now offering a full range of support services. We can help you set up with HMRC and provide guidelines about what you might be able to claim; we can complete and file your tax returns; we can help with book-keeping; and, most importantly, we can help you to become better known and recognised through a range of promotions.
Finding clients and building your business, by getting people to know and trust you, doesn’t happen overnight. It takes time and effort. We can help you to advertise yourself locally within your town or village … to start building your client base and nationally, if that’s what you’d like, and we can help you with social media and how to keep up to speed with current marketing trends.
